Welcome to Calvary Training

Calvary Training Ministries desires to build a virtual community to do real good in the world.  Network members  may, as often as they wish, post our Good Works efforts on their own blogs and sites, engaging their readers in the effort, on their own site.

We request that members post the Network badge on heir site and link it to this page.  If the badge is unacceptable or impossible, then a text link will do.

So, what is our vision?

It’s really, really hard to do anything good in this world. I’ve worked with emotionally challenged teens; I run a center for developmentally disabled adults; I was president of the local Literacy Council; I’m very active in church…and I can’t stand how hard it is to get anything done. Most of the time, it’s hard to know what to do. Most of the time, you want to help, but can’t. Then, when you have an idea that could work, where’s the support?

Since the Jesus People explosion of the 1960’s and 70’s, Calvary Chapel has planted 1500 churches worldwide. How? Because it freed men who were called by God to pursue that calling. Not everyone is called to be a pastor, though.

What if we had the freedom to do good in this world as God calls us? What if that Calvary Chapel spirit was applied to outreach concepts we’ve never heard of before? What if people had the freedom to operate in areas where the local church doesn’t?

What people need is some doctrinal support; some input from people who have stepped out in faith before; a whole lot of prayer support; and, where appropriate, a little bit of money.
